The Grilled Cheese Sandwich, a comfort food classic, has a long and beloved history. It dates back to ancient times when bread and cheese were commonly eaten together. Ingredients
- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 2 slices of cheddar, American, or Swiss cheese
- 1-2 tablespoons butter

Serves: 1 Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the hot skillet.
- Add your choice of cheese slices and any optional ingredients on top of the bread.
- Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bottom slice of bread is golden brown and crispy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Carefully flip the sandwich with a spatula and cook the other side until it’s equally golden and the cheese is fully melted (another 2-3 minutes).
- Remove from heat, let it cool for a moment, and then cut it in half.
- Serve your Grilled Cheese Sandwich while it’s warm and enjoy!
