Background and History
Buffalo chicken sandwiches are a popular American dish inspired by Buffalo-style chicken wings, which originated in Buffalo, New York, in the 1960s. The sandwiches typically feature tender shredded chicken coated in spicy Buffalo sauce, served on a bun with creamy toppings like blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing. Slow cooker Buffalo chicken sandwiches offer a convenient twist on this classic, allowing the flavors to meld together while creating tender, juicy chicken perfect for sandwiches.
